Uhl is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees. Keeping our employees and customers safe is our top priority. We are continually applying safety to all areas of our organization. To ensure the success of our Safety Program, all Uhl Company employees play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment. Uhl Company is Lead-Safe Certified under the new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead-Safe Law. Uhl Company continues to be a member of the Minnesota Safety Council and attends the Minnesota Health & Safety Conference every year.
Safety Awards
Uhl received the NECA 2023 Recognition of Achievement in Safety Excellence Award Safety Excellence Award. Once again, Uhl was awarded Minnesota Safety Council Governor’s Safety Award in 2022! This award is given to companies who have incident rates that have been found lower than their industry average for at least three years. What this really means is that when it comes to safety, we are outperforming our competitors on a consistent basis. Safety is of utmost importance to us and this award validates our hard work and attention to detail.
Safety Committee
Our Safety Committee consists of 10 Uhl Company employees, including union & non-union workers who have volunteered their time to be a part of the Safety Committee. Members of the Safety Committee continue to attend OSHA and other Safety training to keep current on new laws and extend their training on to our employees.
Our committee meets bi-monthly and has established guidelines for performing safe field operations along with developing numerous safety policies, including the AWAIR Program, Safe driving, Silica Policies, and many more.
