To ensure the success of our Safety Program, Uhl Company employees, including management, play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment.
Uhl Company, Inc. is Lead-Safe Certified under the new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Lead-Safe Law, which went into effect April 22, 2010.
Uhl Company Inc. continues to be a member of the Minnesota Safety Council and attends the Minnesota Health & Safety Conference every year.
Safety Training
Our Safety Program includes comprehensive annual safety training, full-time use of personal protection equipment, bi-monthly Toolbox Talks, and the clear expectation that our employees must work safely.
Safety Committee
Our Safety Committee consists of 12 Uhl Company employees, including union & non-union workers, management & non-management employees, who have volunteered their time to be a part of the Safety Committee. Members of the Safety Committee continue to attend OSHA training to keep current on new laws and extend their training on to our employees.
Our committee meets quarterly and has established guidelines for performing safe field operations along with developing numerous safety policies, including the AWAIR Program, Confined Space Policy, Ladder Policy and many more.
